Hello! I’m Wislène, your certified Doula & Childbirth Educator. I am a woman of God, a wife and a mom of 2 under 3. Currently located in New Jersey.

My passion and love for birth work began in 2019 when I started binge watching birth videos. Since then, I began to research, learn and inform myself about all things birth. Especially the horrifying statistics and reality of birthing for BIPOC. I then realized that birth work and more specifically being a doula would be the best way for me to express my love for this field while bringing the gap between moms and wonderful birth experiences.

Ever since becoming a mom, I also realized the huge lack of support from the medical field and how negatively impacted moms are due to the lack of education concerning pregnancy, childbirth especially when it comes to postpartum recovery.

Thus, why I decided to become a doula and my passion for this field. I know and believe this is something God has called me to. My goal is to educate and support parents so that they are equipped and confident to have a glorious birth experience and postpartum season.

My faith is important to me and a part of the way I practice. I am proudly a Christian doula. However I respect and serve people from all backgrounds and pride myself in providing services tailored specifically for each client.

"I first came in to contact with Glorious Push Services and Wis when I was around 35 weeks pregnant. So in my mind I was a little late to finding a doula but I was completely wrong in my thinking. Wis quickly set up a meeting as my pregnancy was coming to an end soon. We got started immediately with my birth plan as I am a first time mom and everything was very confusing. Shortly after we had our first childbirth class which was very informative. Wis was very detailed in the slides and if I had any questions she would answer them. A couple of days before the second part of childbirth class, I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and was scheduled to be induced shortly after 37 weeks.

With my labor coming a lot sooner than expected, the whole process was expedited. Wis was there for entire labor and delivery, giving me support and advocating for the things we discussed in my birth plan. Encouraging me to be as active as I can to help with contractions and any discomfort I was having. After 33 hours of labor, I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Wis guided me in how to latch baby boy right after birth. She was there during my golden hour to make sure the baby and myself were doing fine. I genuinely do not think, my labor and delivery would have happened the way it did if it was not for the support of Wis and the childbirth classes we had.

During my postpartum, I had to check ins with Wis. She always asked if I was doing okay mentally and physically. She gave me resources to help continue my breastfeeding journey as well as resources with helpful information a first time mom would need.

Glorious Push Services and Wis gave the best labor/delivery and postpartum experience a first time mom could imagine."
